RT-615 Tread Life and Impressions
Hey guys, I am running the RT-615 from Falken. My sizes are 255/40/17 in the rear and 225/45/17 in the front. These tires have great grip and are suprizingly quiet. I am a little sceptical about the mileage, I have about 1.5K miles on them and they seem alright, the wear limiter on the rear tire is only about a quarter inch from where my tread's at. I know this is a new tire but wanted to know if there are any other's running them and how there impressions are so far. Thanks

I had them on my ITR, and they were awesome track tires. However, I would not run them as street tires, as they're not too great in the wet (although they did improve over the RT215's) and their treadlife stinks, as well.
Have you tracked them yet?

No, I have not yet
unfortuantly I have just been using them to commute to work. I figure they are good for about 10k miles. I have driven them in a fair amount of rain, they seem to preform much better than the Kumho MX's that were on before.

I had them on my old car in a couple different sizes and absolutely loved them. I just posted about them a few days ago asking how the balance was with the added tread up front for an AP1. However, I'm guessing since you haven't been on track yet, you probably haven't been able to push it hard enough to really tell yet. I know they're really sticky and qith quite a bit more tread all around, so I'm guessing it feels really good on the street.
I'm in AZ so driving in wet/cold weather has never really been a huge issue, even in the heavy monsoon storms my RT215's were fine.
