Default Rubbing

I'd like to wrap a 265/40/17 to avoid stretching anything smaller on 10 in. rears with a +60 offset, and I'm lowered on espelirs (1.5 in. drop), do you think I will have a lot of rubbing issues?

If yes, what do you recommend I run instead? Would swapping out the espelirs for a pro-kit give me more room?

Thanks

It would be close, are you running any neg camber? A 265 is going to be pretty tall so that would be putting you pretty close, its not hard to cut out or roll the rears though. I would roll them just to be safe. You would fit a 255 with no issues though.

I ran a wheel calculator, and the two both are very similar w.r.t. wheels height. Not to mention, the sidewalls will be the same dimensions. Eh.. Tough call...

the sidewalls wont be the same. 265/40 and 255/40 will NOT be the same for two main reasons. the /40/ is a percetage of the width that determines the sidewall height so if you have the same % at different widths they wont be the same and teh second reason is that the 255 will be stretched more then the 265 which will actually pull the tire in towards the rim a lil bit so it can stretch (not much but it does)

You will be close with the 265 and it will look very good on the car if u put it on. I say you throw in some neg camber (-2 is what I run) and put htem on and if it rubs then have them rolled or cut out. If you were local I would cut out the inner lip like I did my car and relocate the tab for you.
