Default Rubbing issues and best drop

If you have MY04 wheels and tires on your MY03, what is the most, in inches, you can drop the car and not have excessive rubbing issues, some rubbing is cool with heavy braking, but not constant rubbing. And what could you use to achieve this drop? Would you have to use coilover, or would some springs do the trick. I want the car to looks its best, but if lowering it too much without buying shocks would sacrifice preformance, forget it. But If it's achieved with CO, it's cool.

Thanks,

You can lower the car 1" no problem. Just get a good set of springs and you are good to go. A coilover would handle better and give a lower drop but the ride quality would suffer.
If I can help let me know.
