Default Side effects of low offset rims...

Purchasing "cheaper" 16x7 rims all around has been on my mind for awhile. I haven't done it yet because of the handling issues. I always knew you could stagger the tire setup, so I would probably go with a 205/225 setup, but I was still hesistant.

Now I called up Jim the other day for replacement tires on my stock rims and he suggested a 225 for the rears regardless of the suggested 245's when you go with a non OEM tire, which I was going to.

So if Im going to run a 205/225 setup why not put then on a 16x7 rim that I want?

Also, are there any other downsides to that setup? Can it be bad on wheel bearings or anything?
