Pictures arent the clearest, but you can see that the wheel has been damaged around the lip area and you can make out the crack. It isnt huge, but I know it will grow. The previous owner says it wasnt there before he shipped them, so I will try and see if the insurance will cover it. I wasnt told that it was chipped tho and I really dont want to wait another 6-8 weeks for a wheel to come in. The links for a few pictures are below. I will talk to UPS and also will call a company that fixes dameged wheels to see if it can be fixed...

wheels dont crack via UPS previous owner did this and he should pay.
ive cracked rims before..takes a shitload of force.. lets say 90mph+12kg'mm springs.. do the physics.. UPS would have drop from the plane to inflict that.
call the previous owner and demand partial payment of new or refund

That looks like major curb rash, which caused the crack. Of course it was there before he shipped them. Whether he knew about the crack or not, the crack was there before he shipped them (and I'd be willing to bet he wasn't selling them because he was sick of them). As said before, there is no way it cracked in that exact spot by UPS. I'm afraid it's your word against his now, so you're probably going to have to either fix it or buy a new wheel (I'm not sure I'd want to trust getting it fixed).
