Default Spacer size?

Hey guys just wanted some feed back on fitment. So my previous set up was 17x9.5+35 all around with 255/40/17 Advan AD08 tires. But I recently got a set of 17x9+45 rpf1's with 235/40F and 245/40R and need spacers to make them sit flush. With the 9.5+35 setup I used to rarely rub, not enough to bother me. With the new rim/tire set up will I be able to clear a 20/25mm spacer, considering I have thinner tires?

Thanks in advance.

16.5mm less aggressive. I'd run a 15mm spacer and give yourself the added 1.5mm clearance since you were rubbing little before. The narrower 245 tire should be sitting about the same on the narrower rim so no clearance gained there, although in reality tires can vary a lot and throw a wrench in the calculation.

Hmm...i just put those specs into a fitment guide and it said that with a 20mm spacer it would sit exactly the same in the front, but i would have a 235 tire rather than 255 tire. And the rear would extend an extra 4mm than the previous set up? I feel like with a 15mm it would still be sunk into my fenders.

I just needed some extra feedback due to the difference in tire size/ wheel width.
