Default Staggering

So i've been looking for rims lately and of course theres not a whole lot to choose from.

Now if I were to get a set of rims 17 x 7.5 (stock rear width) or 17 x 8 all four corners... Whats really the big deal

As long as i stagger my tire widths
example
245/40/17 Rear
215/45/17 Front

This should ultimately be ideal....
Or am I wrong..?
Info please

And Yes i did do a search many times and read all of the disputes

staggering your tires is ideal, but putting 245 tires on a 7.5 width wheel is streching it. and also having a stagger wheel helps.

I would say the enginners should know something about what to put on a car, not that its such a big deal but its whats best!

For the last 2 years, I've run 17"x8" Racing Hart C2 3-pc on all fours. I've run them with Kumho's 245s rears & 220s fronts. The car has handled fine.

That said, I've purchased a second set of RH C2 3-pc in a narrower width and different offset. And I'll be making a mechanical stagger with 2 narrow front and 2 wide rear wheels. And then I'll have a 2nd set for...(well, any oops over the years).
