WOW. thats fantastic mileage on that tire. esp considering its only a 6/32nd tread depth tire. well, there ya go, if you cant find RA1, then go R888. u will love 2nd gear again
lol I do have to say that the rears were toast when I replaced them

hehe, i thought sooner or later u would be in this forum. first, get more rubber to the ground. at least 255 tire. second, R comp hands down unless you want 1 and 2nd gear to be more or less useless. sure, you could do boost by gear, but then your ultimately slower then you should be.

with my weak power, i was breaking falken 615 265-35 18 tires loose on 2nd gear stomps. u make WAY MORE then me. toyo RA1 if you can get them, otherwise R888's. i love my ra1's. i rock 275-35-18s out back that would be awesome for u

otherwise, i would not buy anything that has a 200 thread wear give what power you make. re11 i think is 140 thread wear and a really sticky tire, i think this was the replacemetn for the oem tire, which i loved

honestly, you should throw tire life out the window.....u make serious power, so how you drive will ult dicate tire life. sure, you can get a cheaper 200+ thread wear tire, and the more you peel out with it, the quicker it will wear then a stickier tire that hooks and goes.

my RA1's have 3k miles on them, and i still have at least 6/32 thread left. new they were 8/32 and i dont drive like a puss.
hehe, yea i hang out in forced induction like all day like you!! I have pretty much done what you are saying and going with something thats got a treadwear of like 140 and lower. Because the Dunlops are nice, but not much more sticky in a straight line than my RT-615's. Right now I run 255/40/17 on +45 RPF1's. I am not lowered at all, so I could actually fit a 275 on the rear....that would be some serious rubber!! I would still have 235's in front so she would want to understeer like crazy until I give it some power oversteer....haha

So you like the RA1's?

My choices...

Toyo RA1
Toyo R888
Brigestone RE11
Nitto NT05

Not sure what else I could use. Leaning toward one of the Toyo's.

I love 2nd gear now too....a lot of the time I spin 2nd on pumpgas and its hard to tell its spinning because its trying to hook and its also still not getting traction at the same time...lol. On my 18psi tune 2nd gets really effed and goes sideways and even 3rd sometimes

Andy, let me know what you decide to go with and how you like them. I was running the 615's and thought they were ok, but with the new power goals I'd like to get not only a better tire, but wider too.

For sure man, its not that the 615's are terrible, they are a LOT better than the junk I had on before that. Its just that now I need more grip and I KNOW youre gonna need it too. I will keep you updated.

I've run RA1, RE01R, and the Z1 Star Spec.

From what I can tell RA1 have way more grip but you gotta warm them up.

The Star Spec's are hands down more sticky than the RE01R's.

I like them all tho for different purposes. Of course I don't make crazy HP like you.
