yeah I just realized that the TE37 replicas I ordered are just 2 pounds lighter than the OEM wheels I have now so I'm canceling the order. I thought I could save the money and get the weight but that doesn't seem possible

no I just want lighter don't want wider but it turns out to be unbelievably hard! I've just found through the 2010 Volk catalog that the only 16x7 5-hole 114.3 volk do are some CE28Ns but I'm not sure if it'll be possible to get them. got any other suggestions? I'm seriously thinking of going to 17" since it's impossible..

Finding a light wheels that lighter than oem 16" is hard. Which means, don't need more lighter than original weight.

Buying a wheels for Just weight reduce is pointless imo. Unless you had 18 heavy wheels and wants to try 16" or forged wheels. Few lbs, you will not notice on street driving.
I'd would get a light 17" and wider for help traction over any 16" wheels..
Looks better, more tires selection compare 16", and wider. I will be happy to add it up couple lbs wheel weight for those reasons.

Enkei, volks, 5zigen and works etc etc. There are ton of brand and models out there. Take your time.

Aren't the stock RX7 wheels super light? I think my Advans in 17x8.5 & 17x9 are lighter than the factory 16s. 16# front, 17# rear.

Check out the Buddy Club P1 QF, available in 16x7.0 +45 5x114.3 11.33 LBS. It is even a six spoke design similar to the TE37. Also available in 17", ~14 lbs depending on width.

you'll be sacrificing handling if you get 16x7 all around... The lightest wheels I have seen for a good price are Volk CE/TE/REs and SSR Type-C's

you can get 17x8/9 with the volks and still be way lighter than OEM + your car will handle better (the volks can come in high offsets, I know they have 17x9 +63)

The volks will be forged, the rotas will be cast. This means not only will the volks be lighter but stronger and more durable.
