I would add to this - buy the best tires you can afford for your car. Tires are the cheapest insurance you can get. If having good tires saves you from an accident because of better handling or stopping ability you have recouped your investment many times over.
The problem is that when a total stranger posts such a question on a public international car forum, we're not going to ask all of these questions first before giving an answer. Without information like what you've posted up, all we can do is to advise them to go with what's stamped on the car doorjamb. That should be the "starting point". Variations from this can only be determined by how the respective owner plans to use the vehicle.

sooo since I haven't seen a single PSI on this thread that looks to have potential I guess I'll be the newbie that asks the questions
What (cold) pressures are recommended for stock 17" AP2 wheels with RE050's on them? Warm climate (san diego), suspension to be lowered ~1.7" (neuspeeds) but stock otherwise. at about UK alignment specs if you care.
Curious about recommended pressures for:
1)Rain - safety.
2)daily highway driving in dry warm climate - prefer BEST tirewear pressure to make tires last longer (15mi trip @ ~80)
3)aggressive street driving (onramps / twisties) for maximum grip for 15min - 2hr time periods. i presume slightly (2psi?) lower for the longer periods of aggressive driving as the tires will heat up a good deal? I prefer neutral handling or even slight understeer vs oversteer.
4)autox
currently running something like 38 / 36 and I don't mind playing / adjusting pressures for daily driving / canyon runs.

Is this not also true? Those who drive these cars on the track and those who drive the car safely in a spirited manner DO know about tire pressures. The rest do not know what details to post when asking the question.
