Default Time for new rears

I currently have S03s on my S2k. They last about a year or a little over 12,000 miles. Anyway I am wondering if yokohamas or pirellis might be better. Tirerack's website doesn't seem to have S03s in the size I need (255/35/18). Suggestions are appreciated - if possible I'd like something long-lasting and decent in rain while maintaining the S03 performance.

Also my camber is pretty negative and I'm wondering if I can swap the rears to buy more time. If the cost is $100 versus $400-500 I think it'd be worth it to just swap em since only the inner tread is worn down - outer tread has life left in it.

Thanks

Did you mean to flip the rear tires ? I mean the tire will be un-mounted, then re-mounted inside out and it will be put on the other side, so that the direction will not be changed. If this what you want, then the cost should be about $20 ($10 for re-mount and $10 for balance) per wheel/tire, the total cost of 2 rear wheels/tires should be $40.

I did it for other car, my MY00 E430 rear camber is very negative too, I had to flip the rear tires at mid-life to maximize the tire life. By flipping the rears, you may get about 20% to 30% more tire life, compares with non-flipping the same tire.

I do not think that there is a tire that you can get similar performance of S03 and last much longer than S03. Everyone wants high performance tires that last forever and cost nothing, but they are not available.
