Default Tire Question

I have an opportunity to pick up a set of used 17" MoMo Wheels. They currently have Kumho 225/45 tires mounted.

Can my 02 handle the wider front tire on the front? Will it adversely effect handling?

A tire question should be posted in the tire/wheel forum. Moving.

Yes and Yes.

people here have put 225s on the front.

your handling will be adversely effected if you get rid of the stagger. With the factory stagger, the front tracks very well, and the rear is almost willing to stay in line. If you use the same size tires front and rear, the rear will want to slide.

Thanks. It makes sense that the big front tires might create some oversteer. In fact, I noticed that two of the tires were pretty worn. When I asked, the owner said those were on the rear. He must have been sliding all over the place.
