Default Tire size question...

Can i put a pair of 225 S03s in the front and 245s in the back? i know the S02s are a bit wider and I have a pair of 225 S03s that I could put in the front... would it work?

On a stock wheel? I'd advise against the 225 up front.

Depends on what you plan to do with that setup. Autocrossers run 225s up front on stock rims with 245s in back with a big front swaybar.

If this is for street use, on a stock setup, I wouldn't recommend it either.

it's just for street use... it's just that I have a pair of 225 S03s and I would like to put those in the front and get a pair of 245s in the back...

Just wondering if they would fit?
...and why do you advise against this???

(and yes, on stock 00-03 oem rims)

The OEM 225 S02 rears are similar in size to most 245s. Putting 225s on the front is a big change in size from the OEM 205 fronts. The extra width up front will make the car very tail happy without some suspension mods to compensate for it. The autocrossers can do it because they compensate with the large front swaybar. In addition, the 225s are a little wide for the front rims. I think you'll see abnormal tire wear because the tire is pulled in to meet the rim.

His are "SO3s". 225s in those aren't like 245s.
A few owners have run 225 front (non-OEM) and 245 in back no problem. Most people don't drive near the limit on the street anyway. Even if you do, you'll learn those limits pretty quick (in a harmless way, I hope).

I have 225 S03's on the rear, and they work perfectly fine! I'd save your money and put them on the back and keep 205's on the front.
