I know the popular sizes are 255/35, but i might have come across a good deal for some RE50s but they're 255/40 .. is that bad?

Also does anybody know where (in so cal) i can get some Goodyear F1 tires? Tirerack is on backorder.

I would say yes. I would not buy it... too tall of a tire. Speedo, ABS, odo, clearance issues are all possible.
