Why on earth are you on 18" wheels if you can't afford tires for them?

FYI, 225/255StarSpecs for 17" rims are $127 and $159, vs. $162 and $222 for 18".

I don't see what's so amazing about 18s, particularly when you don't want to spend the $$$ for serious performance tires to autoX them.

The POINT of spending more than you would on NT555 or FK452 tires would be PERFORMANCE. Those tires aren't what you want if you're serious about setting decent times on street tires.

FWIW, looks like DiscountTire has NT05's in 225/40-18 front, 265/35-18 rear for $151 and $209 respectively, that's another option for you.
