Default Tyre question

I have a 2000 S2. Both drivers side tyres were slashed by persons unknown a coulpe of months ago. I have had them replaced with Potenza S-02's, the original tyres were Potenza RE-01 (now discontinued). I've noticed that on hard acceleration the car swerves slightly, and again if i take my foot off the gas to either change up or down. Could this be due to me having RE-01's on one side and the S-02's on the other? The RE-01's still have plenty of tread.

I agree. Match the tires and you should be good to go.
