Hankook RS-3's or Dunlop Direzza Star Spec's, both are great and affordable.

I loved the XS, although a bit noisy. From the last 3 tires I've ran, these are my favorites in order

1- RE11
2- Star Spec
3- XS

The price on the XS was the selling point. Out of the group, the Star Specs were the sharpest tire, but took away from some of the comfort. The RE11 is the best all around tire, and very comfortable. Obviously, they're a lot more than the others, but I think it's well worth it.

My four sets of tires from last year in order from favorite to least favorite:

1. Star Specs 225/255
2. Falken RT-615k 255 all around
3. Kumho XS 255 all around - would be number 2, but the sidewall wasn't my favorite
3. Sumitomo HTRZ III 225/255 - loved these tires for their price and purpose, but not on the same level as other three.

A lot depends on driving conditions and your personal expectations. Maybe you'd be happy with Sumitomos, maybe nothing less than Advans would do. If you were happy with the Falkins, Star Specs would be a great value for street or light track duty.
