Default V1 AP2 wheels on AP1

Wheels are currently wraped in 225/55/17 Bridgestone Potenza Run Flat Tires. Would this work well on an ap1?

Wrong size, ~2"(!) too tall. Also, out of the many different types of tire Bridgestone chooses to call "Potenza", this one appears to be an RE97AS RFT, a "Grand Touring All Season" (i.e., very low-performance tire). No test data from Tire Rack, the one review reads:
This was my first set of RFT's and it will be my last. In higher speed corners the tires feel like they are made of plastic instead of rubber. I hate these tires, but had no choice as that's all that you can get with the car. I cannot wait to burn them off and put some non-rft real tires on this car.

They looked tall. At least I got the rims. But they are like 170 a peice? Maybe I can resell them? Whats the correct sizes to have for the ap2 v1's?

Good sizes for AP2 wheels:
215/45-17 front with 245/40-17 rear (OEM sizes)
215/45-17 front with 255/40-17 rear (OEM CR sizes)
225/45-17 front with 255/40-17 rear (popular alternative)

You do have a full set, with two 17x8.5 rear wheels and two 17x7" fronts, right?

crap. they were advertised 17x8.5. Does that mean I have 4 rears? Are the rear rims/front different sizes or just the tires?

Phoenix craigslist? Those tires are useless for our application, try to sell them off. As mentioned, the fronts should be 7". Sometimes people will source another set of rears and run 8.5" all around, although the wheel center has to be bored to clear the hub. Front hub size is bigger than the rear. I see there are no center caps, might be replicas.

Yes. There are no center caps. So 4 rears then? Should I sell two then and look for 2 fronts? Not sure where to go from here..

1. Measure the wheels and figure out exactly what you have.
2. If 8.5" all around, decide if you are OK with that. Some people actually prefer this setup.
3. Get a good set of tires for them. You can run 245/40 or 255/40 all around if all wheels are 8.5". On a AP1 with non-staggered tires you probably would want a stiffer front sway bar to make the handling more neutral.

I'm sorry you probably didn't get that great of a deal, but it's not that bad as I have seen wheels without tires usually get ~$400. If you can manage to find someone to take those tires then you might even come out ahead.

Note that you can still run staggered tires on 8.5 all around. 225/45-17, 235/40-17, 245/40-17, 255/40-17 all legit fitments (8.5" within tire manufacturers' rim width range). Obviously a 225 will look more stretched and 255 will look more pooched.
Do confirm that they are 8.5, would kinda suck if they're really all 7"...

I haven't measured it yet. How do I measure the rim with the tire in the way?
