For snow tires, we want to have deep thread. Some snow tires, such as WS50, has the special compound for the first 50% only.

So after a few winters, they are obviously not optimal for snow days. But the tires still have a lot fo thread depth left, so it would be a waste to discard them.

What do you do with them?

 

For the S2K they would not be much use to the tires. I have used them as an all season tire on a mini van before.
