The sizes AP1ayer list are good. They keep the same height front and rear and they also keep a good stagger front to rear.

i need to raise my car (damn nyc potholes and speedbumps) from my neuspeed springs height... maybe about .5 inch or so... this means that my tires would have to accomodate that cause i dont want a huge gap between the tires and the fenders...

check my computations please... (i JUST learned how to do this from the tirerack website)

stock tires...
225*.5/25.4=4.4 inches --> 24.9 inches overall diameter

so if what you say is correct... and 245 is the best width...
245*.4/25.4=3.9 inches --> 25.7 inches overall diameter
245*.35/25.4=3.4 -->24.8 inches overall diameter

the 245/40/18 seems like a good size tire... half inch thinner than stock... though i would like a little more i dont want SUPER low profiles cause i dont think they look that good and i like to keep some space between the road and $2000 rims... overall diameter seems good... a .8 increase... which will allow me to raise the car up a good .75 inches or so... but the 245/35 is the same size as stock... so i wont be able to raise my car much... although the 1 inch thinner than stock tires would look pretty good

so using the 25.7 inch overall diameter... finding the right front tires... (using the 215 ap1ayer mentioned that didnt rub)
(25.7-18)/2*25.4/215=.46

... so closest tires would be 215/45/18...

therefore making the tires 215/45/18 and 245/40/18... however... i looked on tirerack for these tires and theyre $250 each!!! dont know if i can afford those plus shipping... i hear s03's are nice... and i found s03 tires in 225 fronts... considering that these fit... (do they fit??????)

(25.7-18)/2*25.4/225=.43... if i round up to .45... overall diameter would be... 26 inches... which is pretty close to the rear 25.7... but i i really want bigger tires in the front? otherwise if i round down itll come out to 25 inches... which is very far off from the rear...

so what do i do?? do the 225 fronts fit without rubbing? if so... should i get 225/45 or 225/40?

i confused myself SO badly

thanks for the help

I put on:
225/40/18 front
255/35/18 rear

No problems.
