wheel balancing question
does it matter if the wheel weights were placed on the inside edge of the wheel? i was looking through the helm manual and it says that our wheels are designed to have the weights placed right behind the spokes of the wheel. some of my wheel weights are on the inside, some are on the outside edge.
Theres supose to be weights on the inside edge and outter edge behind the spokes. If theres no wheel weight on the outside edge behind the spokes then you either didnt need it, or the shop only did static balancing on your tires and not dynamic balancing. Do all 4 wheels only have weights on the inside edge and none on the outside?
IIRC you cannot clip on a weight onto the front of any of the OEM wheels, that is why there are tape weights on the inside. as for placement, the should be weights as close to the spokes on the inside and weights close to the edge on the opposite side. the amount of weights will be determined by the tire, wheel and the assembly of it.
i am not talking about clip weights... i have stick weights near the spokes and away from the spokes on all 4 wheels. the helm manual says to only put weights on the near side to the spokes.

oh okay.. just making sure thats how it should be. i did have a vibrating problem after the track and in socal, but norcal traffic is so slow i cant even get to those speeds. <80 and the vibration isnt there. i'm not sure if its the weights or what. i'm thinking some could have fallen off at the track
