Sitting on 17x8+45 in the front with 225s. Just put Swift Spec R springs on so it's dropped 1.25"

At this height, are Swifts going to be too soft for autocross? I know I'll need to roll the front, but will I need to roll flat, or just roll the tabs out of the way?

I don't know what my alignment specs are currently, I will be getting it aligned once the springs settle.

 

You will need to roll them flat. Its the little lip you need worry about not the tabs.

 

Anyone know the weights for the AP2V1 OEM rims?

I found a good/cheap set on CL with Direzzas on them and that'd be easier than messing with my STI BBS rims and either boring them out (and concerns that the lugs are carrying all the stress/load) and/or adding weight with spacers (and some spacers lack hub rings so they carry on the lugs as well...)

 

I think the rears are about 22-24 lbs. They aren't exactly light.

 

I'm thinking buy New wheels and tires for my AP1.

Wheels will be 17x7 +45mm

Tires will be Hankook EVO2
Front 205/50ZR17
Rear 225/45ZR17

Will I have problems or do you have any suggestions?

17x7 all the way around? That would be narrower in the rear than OEM.

If you're spending the money to upgrade your wheels, I'd be getting something that is an upgrade from OEM. Especially when it comes to tires. I'd be looking for atleast 225 in the front and 245/255 in the rear.

 

^What he said. You want to use the AP2 OEM sizes when looking at replacements. 7 inch wide all around looks odd.

 

It is hard to find nice wheels that are

Front:
17" x 7"
Rear:
17" x 8"

 

You want wheels that are 17x8.5 for the rear or wider. It really isn't that hard. TSW, Enkei, Wedsport, Rays, Volk, Advan, etc all make wheels in those sizes. Are you trying to avoid fender work?

 

I just got the car last year and it don't have OEM wheels.

I don't know the brand of the current wheels but i'm running
225/40ZR18 92W Front
235/40ZR18 95W Rear

There is not too much fender friction but if i don't have to do fender work that would be great
