Will a 1mm shortage of offset be anything to worry about? I'll be running Kumohs which I've read are pretty beefy, and I'll be lowering a bit. I don't really know how close the posted minimums are to rubbing.

The posted minimums are fairly safe, but if you are lowered AND using known fat tires, then you run the risk. My guess is that it will depend on how you set your alignment after lowering.

Thanks for the useful information! I thought the guide was very easy to understand.. Wish you had the same info for dropped S2K's but seeing how I am not dropped yet - I know the setup I want will work for now!

The 7" is going to need less offset than an 8" correct??
NO.

That is what the guide explains. It's the WHEEL offset and TIRE width that matter. It doesn't matter (within reason) that the wheel is 7" or 8" wide. It is the tire that rubs, not the wheel! Since offset is measured from WHEEL CENTERLINE, the width of the wheel does not affect the location of the tire relative to the fender. Again, this is within reason. If you managed to put a 195 on a 10" wheel, then sure, it would have some effect. But in the real world where one presumably picks a wheel the proper width for the tire they want to use, or vice-versa, the wheel width changing will not affect the required offset!

Hi Ken (aka spa-zz) & To All Geniuses Here:

First, let me thank Ken & latter XViper as well as all its contributors for this incredible thread. It's amazing the vast of knowledge you'll acquire if one would just take the time to read the info presented in this thread.

Now to my question...

I have, yet, come across info and/or recommendations regarding the most suitable wheel size for our S2000 in our S2KI club. I have, however, came across one article I've read from HondaTuningMag regarding the best wheel size for everyday city ride quality, handling with weekend canyon-carving (no track-racing).

Recommendation as follows: F 18x7 +42 R 18x8 +45

I know that there are other factors to consider, however, I just would like to know from your experience or just plain knowledge the most suitable wheel size (also tire size) recommended especially for MY06 (AP2).

I realize that some of your replies/answers will be subjective, however, I'm still very much interested why you chose such setups.

Your input is always appreciated.
