Thumbs up Wheel Locks for aftermarket wheels?

I am a big believe in locking lug nuts, but am having a bit of a hard time finding locking lug nuts for my soon to be purchased Work wheels. So I have a few questions......

1. Work has the short locking lug nuts, and I believe this is a 7 sided lug nut, that requires the key to take these off. Am I correct that the 7 sided key is a generic key that is used on all the Ray's locking lugs, and the J's lugs? This seems more to me like anyone could get this key rather easily.

2. I would like to get blue locking lug nuts, and the only ones that I have found that have a real dedicated key looks like the J's locking lugs that come in blue. They have splines on the lugs that are spaced differently, but I am wondering if a regular 12 point socket can be slipped over it and removed easily.

All I am looking for is a Mcgard style locking lug nut that is blue, and will fit in the tight clearances of a Work XD9 wheel. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great! TIA

most lugs fit fine in the work xd9. the short or extended rays or work lugs would be fine. if you want blue then just order some work lugs. as for wheel locks people usually run one lock per wheel and 4 regular lugs. just make sure you dont lose your lock.

mcgard spline lug nuts. I have the black ones, not sure if you can get the blue ones. They should fit work.

Unique key, small diameter so difficult to just use a wrench.

im looking into using Trust(greddy) black/gunmetal extended closed ends and the black "Bull Lock" locks from Evasive.

they look pretty hard to get off without a key

Any aftermakret lug nut company is fine with after market wheels 99% of the time. The only thing you can't really do is run aftermarket lug nuts on OEM wheels. Rays, Kics, Work, 5Zigen, etc is fine with work wheels

Thank you. I already know that information. I am more looking to find a blue locking lug nut set like shown above.

Black would be fine, but blue would be better since it will match my WORK lugs.

I just got my Work Lug nuts that came with my wheels (EMOTION XD9), but I am not sure if the locking lugs that came with them are key specific.

Is the key that comes with the Work lugs a specific key or can anyone go buy these lug nuts and all the locks will take the locking lug off?

If any key can take these off the locks are useless to me and I will have to get some other kind of locks....Will the Mcgard and Bull locks both work on the XD9's?

the key only works on the wheel lock. it would be very hard for someone to have the same key as you and take your wheel lock off and steal your wheels.

Does the OEM lugs fits the XD9? Because I got my set used, so it didnt came w/ lugs. Now im just OEM lugs on the XD9, I wonder if that's okay.
