i was trying to help by sending you the link to the thread that explains offsets and tire sizing. with 17 inch rims, try going with the stock ap2 sized tires

215/45 245/40

Your getting there. The offsets above are somewhat moderate, but is very very do-able. If you do decide to lower the car only an inch, you can run stock AP2 Tire sizes and be fine. (which is indeed a 245/215 combo)

If you decide to lower the car a little more (Tuck status) you will be forced to run a 235 to clear the rear fender. If you roll the fender, and run slight - camber, 245 it is.

as for tire sizes, please try and keep the same rotional circumference of the wheel.
with a 17" wheel, you would be best to run a 245-40-17 rear and a 215-45-17 front.

hey, i do appreciate the link, it was very helpful! i knew you were trying to help, it wasn't you that told me to 'hold off' anyways. i do appreciate all the help and input from everyone!
