Default Wheel Offset Modifications

I hope this isn't a stupid question. I have some 18" Volks with +33 offsets on the front. Is there anyone/anywhere that is able to trim the wheel to make the rims more flush with the fender or will this destroy the wheels?

I assume you are referring to machining off some material from the mounting pad to get a higher offset. You could probably get away with a couple mm but not much without compromising the integrity of the wheel.

Exactly, I'm trying to machine the wheel to get a higher offset. The width of the front wheel is 8.5 inches and sticks out about 0.5 inches. I can't lower it without getting a new set of wheels and I want to avoid this if I can.

you cant really do anything about the width of the wheel itself, unless you want to pay lots of money, in which case maybe you should just buy some new wheels.

like 1nate7 said, what you could do is machine the mounting surface of the wheel. although not sure if thats safe or not.

what i've also heard is machining the rotor hub, but again, not really sure if thats safe or not.

id say

buy new wheels that fit or,
flare the front fenders to make them fit or,
buy new wider front fenders

Also, what tire size are you running? If you put something like a 215/40 or 225/40 up front it should work with a little negative camber, something like -2.
