Wheel spacers

Wheel spacers
Ok guy's I am gonna be purchasing some new rubber for the whip, And I am going with 225-40-17 fronts and 255-40-17 rear. The tires are gonna be slapped on some AP2 V2 rims I currently have AP2 V1 on my S stock height no mods (yet). And I was wondering if I would need to get some wheel spacers for the car? I thought you only needed them if you ran aftermarket rims? Well anyone with experience on this situation please chime in thanks!

According to my owner's manual 215/45R 17 87W is the OEM size for AP2 front tires. So I was lead to believe I could use a 225/45/17 which is a bit meatier I guess, And then the discussion about wheel spacers was brought up. To which I thought was rather odd since it's not that much of a difference and the rim is a stock AP2 V2.

Well in your original post you mentioned 225/40/17 which would be wrong. And are you getting confused with hubcentric rings? They are different than wheel spacers. OEM wheels are hubcentric already. AP2 wheels are a plug and play thing.

Yeah I have AP2V2's on my MY03 S. Running Star Specs
Front - 225/45/17
Rear - 255/40/17
UK Alignment
Lowered on:
- Koni Yellows (Lowest Perch)
- H&R Sport Springs
Absolutely NO rubbing!! I drive very hard in the twisties, so you should be fine
