Default Wheel/Tire fitment

I purchased a set of Kinesis wheels for a smoking deal. The fronts are 17X8 +38 and rears are 17X9 +68. I know the rears will fit no problem with some 265's but I'm a bit perplexed on what I should run in the front. I normally wouldn't go for such a low offset (I'm way more function over form) but the price was truly outstanding. Worse comes to worse I can change the offsets since they are a 3 piece wheel but was wondering what some guru's here say.

For tire sizes in the rear would I run 265/40 or 35? I'm running 255's in the rear now w/ NSX wheels with a perfect fitment imo. In the front would I be able to fit 225's? I don't really want to go any lower than that since I'm running 255's in front now on NSX rears (on the front). I'm lowered moderately (not slammed) and don't really want to raise the car any unless I have to. Would the front size be 225/40 or 45? TIA.

With the width and offset of the front wheels you are going to need to do some modification to the fender. Maybe roll the lip and run more negative camber. For the most clearance you are going to need to run the 215/45R17. With the rear you actually could run the 265/40R17 no problem. I would think you could even run 275/40R17 without issue and there are a lot more tires available.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

You might consider a 20 to 25mm spacer for the rear. It's going to look weird with an aggressive front fit and conservative rear.
