Default Will getting 17x9 rear wheels effect my handling

I'm ordering some Volks LE37T front: 17x7.5 and back: 17x8.5.The guy at the vendor im ordering from says its gonna take another 3 months to get them sent from japan, but if I get the 17x9 wheels for the back, i can get them here in less than a month. Should i take the 17x9's or stick with the 17x8.5???

When I asked someone at the Tire Rack the same question, he said to just go for the 17 x 9 because 10 or so millimeters won't really be noticed.

17x9" is better to some people, assuming the offsets ore OK.

The advantage is that you can run a wider rear tire I think.

and how long did u wait to get those TE37's...i called around and they seem to be a special order item cause of the high offset and rear width...
