Default will reinstalling stock springs stop rubbing prob?

i've recently put some work emotion xd-9's on my car and am rubbing alot in the rear when i go over the slightest bump. they are 17x8.5 +42

i'm lowered 1 inch with tein springs and stock dampers, would putting my stock springs back in the car stop the rubbing?

or are getting the fenders rolled / running alot of neg camber the only solutions?

Even with the car raised I think you are going to have to roll the fender lips. The width and the offset of the wheel make this an aggresive fitment.

you got a few choices.

1. Tires: Run a 215 tire in the front and 225 in the rear, if you put your stock springs back on you shouldnt have a problem.

2.Put the stock springs back on roll the fenders, and run looots of camber.

You really should have done your research before purchasing rims, those offsets arent even close to being s2k friendly if you wann run meaty tires like 255 etc., its ok i made the same mistake on my first S

what tires you running?

i have kuhmo ecsta mx's 215's up front and 245's in the rear.

i bought the wheels from evasive motorsports and not knowing much of anything about offsets i just asked them if the offsets were right for the car and they said yes, that it was a package set up just for the S, so a little unhappy about being mis-informed there and now needing to permanently mess my fenders up and run camber that'll make me go through tires like crazy

i love the wheels to death but i'm starting to consider selling them, if anyone will even buy them though with the fitment issues

I would not call rolling fenders permanently messing them up... do you understand what rolling the fenders involves? It really isn't that bad.
It has also been covered that toe contributes more to tires wearing out prematurely than does negative camber. You should also realize that our cars will have inside edge wear with everything stock anyway.
Bottom line, the wheel package you purchased was not in ideal offsets for your car. (At least as far as the lengths that you are willing to go to make it work...)
You should sell the wheels IMO.

I think people get a lot of bad advice about wheels on this board then have to do all sorts of drastic measures to roll around on wheels that don't fit. Your wheels are an inch wider and you are losing 23mm from stock offset, far from ideal.
