Winter tire sizing?
Just want to make sure these are the right size for stock '03 rims before I order (from TR.com), thanks!
225/50HR16 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22
205/55HR16 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22
also would like to know if these are sufficient for this area's recent weather or if i am going to need more aggressive W-series to make it as a daily driver?

Yes, you have the correct sizes for winter tires. The rear size will be just slightly narrower than your OEM SO2s, but this is what you want for winter duty.
As for whether or not you should go with LM-22s or go to the more aggressive WS-50, only your winter driving experience will tell. A couple of guys in Calgary are running the LM-22s and they are doing just fine, however, in really deep snow, one has to be a bit more patient. I'm running the now defunct MZ-01s (equivalent to the now WS series) and I can out accelerate the guys with the LMs in deep snow. They have much better higher speed stability than me, though. So, it all depends on what you want.
