#22
Sorry guys !
Been a bit held up lately
Just polished up the Centre caps and the bolts, and the centre's were sent off to get sand blasted.
Rear tires were purchased 285 30 18
Hopefully they'll be all put back together by the weekend !

not that I dont love a huge tire, but an s2k really doesnt need a 285 if your car is in stock form. if you run a mildly sticky tire i bet your car will feel like a tank moving around that much rubber.
also you can spend all the money you want on lips. it wont change the amount of clearance in the fenders. I hope youre running overfenders or 20k springs all around lol

I also run 285s on a10in rim as was recommended by this forum and s2000Junky and 1nate7 (thanks guys)
And I love the extra grip, car just eats up the turns, it's hard to drive any other car. So I got a bike!

The s2k isnt particularly a light weight at 2800lb and over with driver, it also is a bit of a nervous handler (esp the early ap1 years) contrary to what some may have heard, in my experience on street and road course it responds very well to added rubber, making use of it to improve grip and handling/stability. The motor produces enough spunk in NA form to not become hindered by this improved grip and any added weight (given a performance minded wheel to accommodate that rubber) The premise of this thread would however be the exception to this.

The cars been at the panel beaters for the last couple of months, getting a full re spray.
So ill be expecting to have it by next week.
Wheels are all back together, all that's left is to seal them, install valve and tires
