Exclamation Need help with choosing tires!

Currently run Enkei RPF1
17x9 +45 all round

And previously had Federal 545 RS-RR tyres
225/45/17
255/40/17

It seems fairly impossible to find 255/40/17 in Australia right now and every shop is pushing me to go 245/40/17 with Continental Max Contact 6 tires.

Looking to get thoughts on what tire sizing and tire to get!

245/40/17 is fine. I feel like it’s going to be whatever is available to you more than what we recommend.

Thanks! Big change in a good or bad way?

Also, would have assumed I’d need to change the fronts to 215/45/17 to better suit?

Running 215/45 in the fromt will help with fender clearance but many folks run the same size tire all around with the same wheel sizing as you mention.

The tire is not an extreme performance summer tire. So it’ll be quieter, comfier, more durable, but less grippy and direct.

Fender clearance shouldn't be a problem since I have it rolled! Any idea what the same size tire sizing would be?

Thanks! Might go for a different tyre!

With 17x9 +45 a 245/40 should be a nice size for an s2000 with rolled fenders if you’re open to a ‘square’ setup (same tires front and rear)

215/245 could also work but not every tire shop will mount a 215 on a 9” wheel.

I'd go with 245 all around.
