Anyone running spacers?
Is oem the best or are some people widening the track of their S for a bit
more grip through the corners?
I don't really think adding 12mm each side will cause much drag at
ususal city and highway speeds.

Why do you want spacers? I use H&R 25mm all the way around on stock ap2 wheels and tire sizes, but thats just for cheap daily flushness. I'm rolled and pulled slightly on all 4 fenders. My alignment is for a specific track wheel/tire combo, that doesn't include the spacers.
If you want the car to handle better, look into an alignment and a better wheel/tire combo. If you are thinking that adding cheap spacers will help you corner faster, adding spacers will likely effect parts of the car and suspension geometries you don't understand.
Maybe if you gave us a little info on what your ultimate goals for the car are, we could help guide you a little better.
