Nexen, Toyo, Falken?

Nexen, Toyo, Falken?
Getting new 18" wheels and need tires.
How quiet are the Nexen N3000 tires? They are a good deal and the reviews so far are good.
The ride is noisy right now, will I be able to make the ride less noisy on 18's and one of these tires?
Falken ZE512 have really good reviews but are $120 than the set of Nexen
My friend has Toyo Proxes 4 on his BMW and loves them, any word on these?
Thanks

do you want an all season tire?
The car is driven daily 4 miles by my 52 year old mother...its her car and my job to find tires.

You/She realize going to 18" wheels and 35 series tires is going to result in a MUCH rougher ride compared to OEM, also any 'decent' tires are going to be less expensive for 16" vs 18" fitment? Just an FYI.
You still didn't answer whether you were looking for an all season tire.

all season would work.
the tires are gone now and my dad said to get wheels while your looking for tires.
I know its going to be more rough of a ride but I asked for my dad. If he thinks it than he assumes its possible.

I'm on my 2nd set of Falken 512's and am very pleased. My mom, 2 gf's, and best friend have them too ;-) (Forester, TL, Miata, Eclipse Spyder Turbo). They get good reviews because they do everything well. I've never tried them in snow, but I hear they are just adequate.
I've never heard of Nexen, but I tried a few no-name tires on cars past with horrible results, my .02

'All-season' tires should really called 'No season' tires, because they don't provide anything close to the warm temp dry grip of a Max performance summer tire, nor do they preform nearly as well as a dedicated winter tire on ice, snow, and in freezing temps. Glad you like them and that they work for you, but anyone buying them needs to be aware of the limitations. That being said, if you never drive anywhere near the limits of these tires, obviously you won't notice their limitations.
