Default S02's Discontinued!?...Is this True!

I went into my local Firestone and My Manager friend says that Bridgestone S02's are being discontinued. I need conformation from another source, because if it's true I'll just have to buy the LOT!

What is the difference between standard and pole position? In the Tirerack catalog they look identical.

The difference is in the rubber compound. The Pole Position is a dual layered rubber compound that will give better and extended wet performance. They also made the OE tires wider than normal rear and narrower than normal front.
I am sure there are other differences but there are a secret between Bridgestone and Honda.

I wouldn't order from any Firestone dealer because of their high markups. I just had my tires replace on the rears. I figured that Firestone would be the best place to start since they do make the tires. They quoted me $265 per tire! I asked them if they would match TireRacks price. They said no because they are not a dealer that installs tires. Then I asked if they would with Discount Tires. Discount Tires wanted $179 per tire which is alot more reasonable and pretty close to Tire Racks price. They again said no because they are a "dot-com" store. I was like whatever and left. I am really suprised Firestone dealers can even stay in business with the way the responded to my question. Never again!
Tire Rack rules!
