Rotating is nice if you want to keep your tires in the same heat cycle range if primary usage is tracking. It'll let you squeeze another 1-2 days out of a set. When you consider the cost of tires divided by days they last it brings the average down more than what you save buying two 245s.

More so the perception of having to buy something more frequently. It's the act of pulling out my wallet lol

Did i miss something, or is the OP's quoted "odd track day here and there" different then what it sounds? My impression was this is a weekend driver with some lapping days for fun thrown in once in a wile. Nothing sanctioned with rules. Purely for fun and whats going to fit.

You're right...I seem to have gotten my threads confused. Must have had both in different tabs and typed in the wrong one.
