Rent a spring compressor from Autozone/Oreilly and having an extra pair of hands from your buddy would definitely make things easier!

How many miles on the spare stock suspension? You could just install the spare shock and spring intact, instead of swapping springs.

[left]good point - no clue how many miles, though they look in decent shape.. came from an 03 that had poorly configured, deteriorated coil-over Buddy Clubs and 176k - had solid motor mounts and other race components (race clutch, light-weight flywheel, AP2 wheels/tires, axle spacers, 1” wheel spacers all around, harder diff mounts) - badly maintained really, brake lights didn’t work, 2 quarts of oil sloshing around under the tool kit & totally bald rear 245s and alignment issues.. I spun it into a wall within 30 miles and totaled it
