Unofficial thursday night meet- we can do what the hell ever we want.
After a long day at work or the week for that matter, a lot of us would just like to let things out and party and deservingly so. It relieves a lot of stress and angst. Plus this isn't just car enthusiast getting together anymore, to me it's genuine friends getting together having fun.
Official thursday meet- traditional seat down dinner, car talk and a drive. This also gives us the time for planning ahead for future gatherings such as camping etc. etc.. And also lets try to work our differences, i know.... UMW knows drama. and yeah...... it's healthy at times. but the one that just happen isn't. We don't need that kind of drama.

I've already voiced my opinion of why I think these aren't the right type of events for the Chicago community, so I won't re-iterate. We'll see how things play out over time. In close to 6 years, I've seen this situation play out already. I'm confident that I'll be sticking around to see it again.
And as far as this being the wrong thread....I'm whoring my OWN thread that was made to whore. So no, it's not the wrong thread.
