in college
offense > defense ... (cuase not every team can score as it is.. )

nba
defense > offense ... (cause every team can score.. the question is can you stop the other team from scoring)
thats pretty funny...

kobe bryant.. superstar.. probably the best player in the nba... he can't win it by himself... no supporting cast at all...

I think it's the reverse, personally... more than anything else due to the 1 game/out nature of college. A superstar could have 1 bad game and have his team lose, whereas he is less likely to do so for 7 straight games.

In College you have to have a good all around team. In the NBA.. look at Shaq, Kobe.. they have no supporting cast and they still do well.

Look at Maryland in their championship year. They had a well rounded team.

I think in both leagues if you have one star with no supporting cast, you don't do well [ed: enough to win a championship]. You always need a decent supporting cast [ed: to win it all].
