I called 4 dealers in the area. (10mi radius from my house.) I was quoted anywhere from $110 to $199 for an oil change.
One even quoted me about $120 for just the oil (if I wanted to do the work myself) and $16 for the filter. So I decided to take it to the one that quoted me the $110, just to get it done quick. I also had that shop quote me on the diff and trans. He asked for the VIN so he could look up the price. I show up for my appt., and he says: "Oh, this is an M motor, so it takes special oil, so it's going to be more like $165." I said: "I told you it was an M on the phone." He immedialy replied: "I'll discount it to the $110 price."Props for standing behind their quote.
for being a dumbass in the first place. I told him it was an M, AND he had the VIN for crying out loud.
