Reasonably Priced?

It's no secret that used and collector vehicle prices have been soaring to new heights in recent months, which only adds to the upward trajectory the Honda S2000 was already on. As such, it's quite difficult to find any sort of bargain on one these days, though this nicely-kept example that recently crossed the block at Bring a Trailer might just qualify as a reasonably priced offering.

Good Buy

When the hammer fell, this clean 2000 model year S2000 sold for just over $25k, which seems quite reasonable in today's world. It's certainly no beater either, with just 67k miles on the clock and few flaws, though there are a handful of things that probably turned away certain collectors.

Few Flaws

The front bumper cover was replaced as the original had quite a few scrapes, while a paintless dent repair was performed back in 2020. There's also the typical driver's side seat bolster wear, which we see on virtually every car, and a tear in the carpet, but nothing major by any means.

Solid and Original

Otherwise, the black leather interior appears to be in very nice and original condition, with no other flaws or major wear to speak of. Clearly, the previous owners took good care of this ride for future generations to enjoy.

Recent Service

The same goes for the engine bay, which is truly clean and tidy with no modifications present that might otherwise detract from its value. Recent service items include replacing the spark plugs in January 2020, the oil and filter in June 2020, the battery in November 2020, and the serpentine belt in February 2021.

Extra Stuff

This S2000 does ride on a set of 17-inch TSW wheels wrapped with 245/40 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, but the originals and a set of General G-Max tires were included with the sale, along with the original Honda literature, a factory service manual, three keys, two fobs, a tonneau cover, two car covers, and various spare parts.

Totally Worthy

Altogether, this S2000 is a nicely kept example of its beloved breed and certainly seems worthy of its $25k selling price, if not more. And that's not something that's easy to come by these days, when even mediocre vehicles are selling for crazy money.
