Default VitTuned S2000 Project Begins

After helping a few of you guys out with your S2K's, I fell in love with the car and really wanted one to tinker with at the shop. Been keeping an eye out for the last year or so, and finally ran across the right one...

01 AP1, 64k miles, VERY clean, completely OEM, even has an OEM hard top (that's what did it for me). Traded my POS beater in for it.

Next step, picking up the AEM harness for my AEM Infinity ECU and converting the car to AEM. Hitting up PRL for their turbo kit, minus the garbage precision turbo and other accessories I'm not fond of (i'm not a fan of Tial or Precision parts lol). Looking at putting a Comp 5862 on it, and possibly doing flex fuel for some extra fun with the AEM ECU.

AEM actually has a PnP harness for the AP1 now. I had a customer's AP1 running on it a couple weeks back, then took it back off because it was impossible to tune the car... the AEM Windows 8 drivers blow, unending disconnects on the USB connection... they blame it on USB 3.0 and told us to use a laptop with USB 2.0... I was like, ugh... I only have new laptops with touch screen... apparently they have this awesome new EMS that requires a 5 year old laptop to tune... hah

I understand the resentment towards precision, but what's the back-story with Tial?

Just not a fan of the size of the Tial items. Turbosmart is sooo much more compact and flows as well if not better.

LoL I'm not saying they don't work. I have tons of customers using items from both manufacturers, just not my personal preference.

But the verdict is in... it needs boost lol
