Glad you were able to get it to work. I had to get a brush in there similarly once. Unfortunately, for me, the greasing didn't seem to last. But my procedure was to spray brake cleaner to clean off the anti-sieze that my friend mistakenly used on the splines and slides (lol)...and then brush the HT urea on there.

We ended up re-dropping the trans.

Ugh! Still friends?

OK, just kidding. Glad you found the fix. That must have been one HEAVY clutch pedal action!

When I pushed down the clutch for the first time to reverse out of the garage, it felt like I was just pushing my foot in the air
Feel a bit stupid for not fixing this earlier now.

Lol we're still friends. I was out of town, and he said he'd replace my clutch at his shop. I handed him some bearing grease.

Me: "I don't have urea grease....so please use this on the splines and guide".

Him: "I have anti sieze..."

Me: "don't use that. Its not lubricating grease for sliding parts".

I come home...car is put togetuer.

Him: "I used anti sieze"
Me: "god dammit"

Two weeks later, I had a clutch pedal that was sticking, pulsating, was hard to push, wouldn't return smoothly, etc.

So...we re-dropped the trans and fixed it. He bought me some urea grease as a peace offering haha.

Hey flanders.

I have a 2007 S2k with 50k kms on it and your problems just sound exactly like mine.

Especially 1st and 2nd gear sometimes cause grinding and from time to time its hard to shift from 3rd to 4th
Weird thing is that the behavior changes daily and I also have the feeling that warm/cold/wet weather already causes changes.

I never acepted that this is normal, because at my Honda Dealer they told me this.
It must be possible to have a smooth shifting just like in every other car.

Would be nice if you let us know how your fix is turning out after some weeks.

I definately will do the bleeding of the slave cylinder and greasing by myself as well.

Haven't been driving that much yet but it feels like it's still improving, maybe grease is spreading out better.
I'll update later if there is any changes.

My greasing from the outside seemed to help only partly, still had pretty bad grinds sometimes on track.
Ended up pulling my transmission and replaced everything, check my build thread for more details https://www.s2ki.com/forums/automoti.../#post24445359

Quick question. Outside of the track did the issue get worse over time? I never had any grinding issues trying to go to 1st or reverse with my old clutch setup(act pressure plate). It just wouldn’t go in and be like it’s stock on the lock out.

Now with the oem clutch, just does the noise/feeling you had but goes into gear fine. Just an annoyance the clutch isn’t smooth and takes a little effort to push down.

Yes I think it got worse, I'm not 100% sure it was just the clutch that was the problem but I hope so.
It was mainly second and fifth gear that was causing problems.
Fifth started to get really hard to engage when I was out on the freeway once, felt really weird almost like it was locked out.
Only done around 200 miles of mild street driving on my new setup but so far everything feels perfect.
Next weekend it's track time, hopefully it will work just as good there.

So your issue got resolved by replacing the tranny? I don’t think mine is a tranny issue since it doesn’t grind and you can tell there is something up depressing the clutch without shifting gears.

Should I have replaced anything additional for the clutch job which may be causing this issue?
