I have just picked up a 2001 S2000. I was looking under the hood trying to solve another issue, but I found this wire loom almost entirely chewed through by the alternator belt. Any advice on if it's dangerous to drive or work on and any idea on how to get it fixed or even what it does? Thanks in advance

Possibly, if the wires are exposed but not broken you should at least tape them up, or shrink wrap them. If they're fraying, cut them then solder and shrink wrap them. Problem solved.

 

One of the wires is completely cut and the other is halfway cut. I will be having this fixed this weekend. Thank you for connecting the two problems together for me. I appreciate the help.
