Default wire tuck education

so for those that have tucked please educate us who have not. i have done some googling and searching on another forum and have found little factual info and a loootttt of opinions. my bottom line question is this-- can i cut my harness and splice in an extension on all wires without problems with overloading circuits, excessive resistance, or need to run a larger fuse???? i would shrink wrap, solder, and use same gauge wire as wire cut. im looking to clean up my bay and relocate ugly fuse blocks and such. thank you for your input!

Yes. Be neat with your work and heat shrink, wrap, label, etc. everything or match wire colors. You don't find much info because it's not something that everyone does the same. If you're willing, why not throw up some photos and I'll add it to a FAQ either here for FI.
