AP1 or AP2 Brake Pads ?
AP1 or AP2 front brake pads. They have different part numbers, just wondering which one is better?? Only want to know about OEM, not interested in any aftermarket.
Thanks
Thanks

In my experience, AP1 pads are "better".
I've been able to get by with AP1 pads at the track, but AP2's sucked and were ground away to nothing much quicker.
One dude's anecdotal experience...

General consensus is that for normal use AP2 pads work better. Honda modified the pads to work better when hot, and the few people here that have used both prefer the AP2s. AP1s supposedly aren't as dusty, but in my book, less dust = less braking. Besides, wash the wheels or rinse them with water and its not a big deal. I've only ever used AP2 pads though, so I can't give you a comparison.
Unless you're going to the track, then don't use AP1 or AP2 pads.

I've used both AP1 and AP2 pads.
I didn't notice any performance difference for street driving. So in that situation, I'd go with AP1 because they're less dusty and perform just as well.
For actual track events, while the AP2 might handle heat better, it's still not nearly as good as a proper track pad.

AP2 pads didn't handle the heat better in my case!
Taking it easy on the brakes, I can get multiple events out of AP1 pads. The one time I used AP2 pads, they were gone in short order (day and a half).
But my track experience on stock pads is probably only about 4 track days total (usually on XP8s or HP+), not exactly a lot of data points...
