looks like its a common weak point. Mine has a whole there, doesnt seem to be getting any worse though and water isnt coming in so im just leaving it. The trouble is if you repair i think it will return
I have a tear in exactly that place too, I patched it recently with a bit of roof material stuck on with glue ... no idea how long the patch will last as most seem to come off as that is where the roof folds when it is down too
I got a spare piece of OEM hood vinyl (in the correct colour), from a fellow member who was having a new roof fitted, and I have used this to repair the areas you are worried about, and also to reinforce the points inside the car where premature wear takes place!
I used Unibond Repair Extreme adhesive (which someone on the forum had recommended), and after several months all the patches are rock solid!
Interestingly, when my car was in for service two weeks ago, the Service Manager noticed the patch and said, "They all go there!"
