Default Hybrid Audio Technologies Clarus Series

Will Hybrid Audio Technologies Clarus Series C61-2 (6 ½”) fit?

http://www.hybrid-audio.com/products.htm

http://www.hybrid-audio.com/Clarus_M...nual_Final.pdf

These speakers demands a 3" depth (76mm).

Is the thickest speaker spacer i can go 3/4"? if I use a 1" spacer the speaker will hit the door panel right?

Has anyone installed this on their S2000? I have read many great reviews about these speakers. Any installed pics and comments?

MacGyver's site has a diagram with dimensions. The depth is limited by a knob
attached to the window, which goes up and down at an angle, thus making
the depth different top-to-bottom. If the magnet diameter is very large, it may
not fit, but if it's smaller, it may. I don't think you'll get an answer without a
test fit. Good luck!

By my calculations, and his measurements, with a 3/4" spacer (19mm)
you have 72mm minimum clearance, and 83mm maximum clearance. It
may be somewhat understated though as it looks like he doesn't account
for the thickness of the door itself except as part of the OEM basket,
implying that the basket itself is less than 15mm, but it could also be an
error in the drawing.

my focal woofer has a depth of 78.8 mm...you'll be just fine with a 3/4 inch spacer with plenty of clearance. you'll have to remove the oem speaker basket

big ups for looking at hybrid audio technologies....their speaker lines are arguably better than focals. i would have been sold on these when i was looking for speakers to do my audio setup, however focal's customer service is second to none.

OK good to know, I guess its down to the diameter of the speaker magnet.

Did you install it with a speaker baffle to keep the water out? Or is there no space for it?
