Default Wrapping the stock header?

I don't feel like spending 600+ on a decent header and I don't want an eBay special for the s2000 even though the one on the Crx has been fine for 5 years.

Anybody just wrap the stock header to improve its efficiency just a tad? I think I'll do it in a few days and report back.

Do it! I wrapped my oem header 3 years ago. I openned it up to see the condition of it and it looks exactly the same before I wrapped it. No extra rust to speak of.

Wrapping it will give you a LOT less engine temp and better exhaust sound.

Yeah I knew the rust is a myth after 5 years on the civic there was nothing

Thanks glad to hear the positive remark I'll have to hit up some online stores to get a wrap+steel strap kit.

You wrap starting at the end by the cat and work your way up right?

Nope, using 1" wide header wrap, do the smaller tubes first, starting from the top.

You will need 2 rolls of 1"x50' or 1 roll of 1"x50' and 1 roll of 2"x50". That's plenty, you will have extras.

The 'cheaper' eBay brands are not as tightly weaved but easier to wrap. The more expensive ones are tightly weaved and much stronger but hard to wrap around curves.

You did it backwards start at the bottom think about it

Old bike pipe trick now air and dirt is being crammed into the fold going the other way it goes over the hump and won't separate the seam.
